GAZA

"First of all, I'm not talking about war
because a war is between two armies.
There is no army in Gaza.
Today, it's a massacre, a slaughter."                                                                                  -
Tariq Ramadan

I don't know where to start. What's been happening for the past 66 years can't be summed up in a single post.

Israel has been killing Palestinians long before Hamas even existed! So never believe those who are blaming Hamas constantly for causing the killing. Israel wants no peace whatsoever, and never did. Don't let them fool you with their manipulative ways. I was just watching a TV show about Al Nakba day (Day of the Catastrophe) and I got drastically emotional and overwhelmed by that scene even though it was just a show. Let alone those who actually went through it and had to leave their home land and the place where they spent their whole life in. The same is happening now, imagine some people telling you to leave your house in one minute!! You'd be so shocked at the idea itself and you wouldn't even have time to figure out what has to be done.
My heart flutters with happiness when I see that not only Palestinians are fighting for themselves, but also, many people from all over the world are going out in demonstrations against Israel's cruelty. It makes me wonder that maybe, just maybe, the world is starting to remove their blindfold a little and are finally able to see the truth. I do believe this is a good sign.
They can siege our bodies, but they can't siege our souls.

So now you're thinking about how helpless you are to them, but don't worry about that, there are many ways in which you can give a little help from afar even if it seems that it has a minimal effect..
Here is what you can do:

  •  Boycott Israel supporters! I'm sure you can replace those brands with many other brands. You can find the list of brands to boycott here.
  • Sign reliable petitions! I know this may not seem so helpful, however, there is no loss in doing so. Try to find the most reliable petitions to join.
  • Donate! I know that not everyone can get involved in this, however, if you can then please don't hesitate in doing so.
Some links:
Middle East Children's Alliance
Palestinian Center for Human Rights
American Near East Refugee Aid (ANERA)
United Palestinian Appeal
  • Share your voice! Tweet about it. Talk about it. Share it. Support it. It's in your hands to spread the word!
  • Participate in local protests! Make the Palestinian struggle visible to your city.
  • And finally, Pray! For the sound of prayers are the strongest and God never fails the oppressed.

God bless you Palestine.. God bless you..
